Just found this report on news.com

    here

I know it seems pretty obvious to most not to automatically run these
types of files but we were all beginners at some stage and it might be useful to some.

In other examples, music files and porn videos came bundled with adware or spyware, Boyd said in an e-mail interview. He suspects that online marketers have launched campaigns to get their software installed on more desktops using BitTorrent.

I love the way you're protected as a pirating pornographer in the crazy little world of ours

    meh,
there have been viruses and crap in torrents for a lot longer than that.
youve always had to be careful.

plenty of clients have come and gone with spyware built in to them.
whats the one now, bitlord?, thats riddled with shi-ite.

This has nothing to do with BitTorrent. Some random exe or collection of files contains malware. If you used HTTP / FTP / DCC / SMTP or whatever to transfer these files the malware would remain. As usual its a load of journalistic hype over nothing new.
