Abbey to move to the IFSC (probably)

The Abbey theatre will most likely be moving to a new location at Georges Dock in the IFSC.

Is it actually going to be build on the water where the temporary developments go up? The whole of the surrounding area seems to me to be fully developed.

It is a good location for the theatre and will add a little more life in the evenings (and the adjacent retail & dining being developed at CHQ will make it attractive for an evening out) but I would have preferred to see the Carlton site as its new home, making it a major part of the O'Connell St. redevelopment.
