Anyone know anything about credit cards and online buying ?

Do particular cards have better protection against identity theft?
I have an AIB card and there doesnt seem to be any mention of cover against having your details stolen and stuff charged to your card, i was looking at the tesco card application form and they seem to have some sort of built in cover.

Anyone looked into this lately ?

aib had something called an "o card" before,
it generates a random credit card number for a single transaction.
you need an aib card to have access to it.

it was like a plugin for ie iirc.

    not sure.....

yeah I heard of that alright, have never used it though.

I have the card max at the lowest possible, but thats still 900 or thereabouts
A friend of mine a couple of years back had a load of stuff on his card from shops in thailand. Luckily he could prove to BOI that he was in Texas at the time and they covered the loss.

Im not hugely paranoid about this, just the card I have has a high interest rate and I do buy a bit off the net and was looking around to get a new card.

AIB only do this on their Visa cards from what I'm aware ...
