A Campobello teen is accused of raping one neighbor's dog and another neighbor's two little girls. Now the dog has died and charges against the teen have been upgraded.

The worst part about it is how they focus on how he raped the dog, not on the little girls. That's just plain wrong...

While molesting the 2 girls is morally more wrong, raping the dog is much more unusual and therefore more newsworthy. Of course the charges for molesting the 2 girls should be much more serious than what happened the dog.

Good point, i'd imagine she'd ate the bits of him, was the dog Female or Male though ?

This is extermely disgusting, this is the first case of dog rape i've ever heard of, But the way the media higlighted it over the abuse of the children is even worse.

The dogs name was Princess, so female I'd imagine. But I agree with you.

It's as if the station said "A dog died today from injuries sustained in a rape, and also, on the lighter side, the same offender also molested two young girls."

Why you think so? The 2 girls are still alive, maybe shocked but alive, whereas the dog is dead. A life is a life, and I don't think any man should feel that doing something bad to an animal is not as bad as doing it to another man.

totally agree...infact i think doing things to animals in much worse in a lot of cases....

I don't think it would have been fair to put too much detail about the por wee girls in the news.
On the other hand broadcasting "This man raped this dog" is at the perpetrator's expense only. Dead dogs are not too sensitive about their privacy.
Worse cases of cruelty to animals happen regularly in this country. I saw some in a more pitiful state while i worked in an animal shelter. But this is the most bizarre I've heard of. I have to admit that I laughed while looking at that page.

You're right. We are not more important than everything else (the sun is more important for example).

I do think we are better than goldfish though. All them little bastards do is swim around a bowl all day, absolutely useless. I would gladly lay my life down for a kitten, they're just so cute.

A little part of me dies everytime I see somebody eating meat. I just think how lovely the lamb or cow were before they were butchered. It makes me feel like cutting that person up, real nice. See how they like it. An eye for an eye I say.

Next time I see the local butcher I'm gonna run him over.
