(Character limit on the post forced me to miss this category out in the original post. All information taken verbatim from last week's CSN newsletter, so blame them for any mistakes.)

Thoughts/comments? This is the first time I've paid any attention to them so I'm not entirely sure how certain categories overlap (eg Whedon's Xmen being nominated in the best new series and best continuing series categories, when to my mind those would be mutually exclusive), but there's some interesting stuff in there. A lot of names I've either never heard or never noticed before, meaning I've got a load of stuff to look out for. As well as some new publishers to check out.

Have to admit, though - I'm surprised none of the Drawn & Quarterly anthologies made it onto the list, although from the quality of Flight Vol 2 it's nice to see Flight Vol 1 on there. The Humanoids line also seemed under-represented (ie totally unrepresented) in the "US Edition of Foreign Material" category, but since I haven't even heard of any of the titles listed I should probably check them out before saying anything for definite (I have heard complaints about the format & size of the Humanoids issue of "Hollow Grounds" for example).

(If anyone's interested, there was also a full listing of the Harvey Award nominations, but given how long it took to type up the Eisners, I think I'll wait until someone asks before posting them up)

Speaking of Flight, hope Copper wins the Best Online Comic.

Morrison'll walk home with Best Limited for We3, deservedly so.

Thought Ex Machina was over a year old??

Best Continuing: between Astonishing and Y, IMHO.

Laura Martina (Planetary) for Colouring, always outstanding - remember the Hark issue?
