A couple of mates and I are heading for a gander to Galway after the leaving...staying in kinlay house hostel, i was just wondering what its like?
For going out purposes we're thinking the roisin dubh, the black box and cuba/CP'S? any recommendations on cheap places where one could get lunch thats nice? and also shopping wise- where is the main shopping area?! ive been looking for activities but have no idea wat we can do, maybe a day trip to the burren etc- anyone have any more suggestions? thanks for the help in advance!

Hmm not sure about the craic with the black box, or the availabilty of gigs there etc..

But ya, no doubt, you should check out roison dubh for music or whatever.

For food, the kings head is nice, so is an bananaphoblact (its a gaeilge caife so be warned!) and um, busker browns (kind expensive)... But definitely check out Fat Freddys near the spainish arch area, great for pizza.

For bars, definitely check out The Living Room (great great bar) and for night clubs, check out CPs, cuba (if you're into good old rock music check out upstairs in cuba), the radisson is not that bad either. Oh and for after the night club check out Mario's Chipper no shop st. (wayyyyy better than superknacks on eyre sq!)

Oh and the main shopping place is shop street (surprise! he he) it's basically fully pedestrianised. Starts at brown thomas and works it way down to fat freedys.

All together you should completely dig galway, enjoy!
