Bought a new scanner for my place of work and its USB 2.0, my pc which not too old is USB 1 and when I scan it says:
Error negotiating capabilities with the TWAIN driver

Without buying a USB 2 card for inside the pc is there anyway around it? Some external adapter or sumfink?

    Thanks

PhotoShop on an a Dell XPS T750 running Windows 95 doesn't support the HP4200 scanner.

Are you absolutely sure the scanner does not support usb 1.1? Most devices will fallback for compatibility. e.g. I have an external drive that is usb 2 but will work albeit at a slower pace with usb1.1.

    Check for updated drivers online.

It's only about a tenner for a PCI USB 2.0 card. That won't help much though, as the error message has got nothing to do with the USB connection.

    I think.
