I'm going to Singapore, and so I'm going to buy Singapore Dollars from Bank of Ireland... will they buy them back off me?

Yes they will, but personally I would recommend going there and using the ATM Machines there.

How long are you going to be there. I used to go there every 2 or 3 months when I lived in KL a few years back. Its a nice place, but a bit short on nightlife, otherwise its grand.

Like dermo88 said, you'll be better off using ATMs while you're there. If you're flying into Singapore there's a few foreign exchange counters just after you pick up your luggage (if I remember correctly), so you'll have no hassle getting enough cash to get a cab into the city.
    It's a nice place, enjoy!

I agree with all that has been said except: don't take a cab tho' the metro is to die for.

Enjoy Singapore : make sure you have a wander around Little India at night, and maybe try a Murtbarak there - curried pancake dish thing - lovely. Other than that it should be obvious what to see!

I thought I should have some cash with me, this is my going outside the EU-15, when you enter the country don't they want to see "proof" that you have adequate funds for your stay or something?

Nope, never ever ever had that. ATM's are plentiful and if you load your credit card before you go they are the most cost effective and handy way of getting forgein currency. (This depends on your CC provider).

By all means exchange your spare Euro when you arrive but CC is the way to go otherwise.
