You may be aware of the man that makes such wonderful pedals as the Fuzz Factory, Wah Probe, and Super Hard On (heh heh).

I was talking to him, and he said he can't find a shop in Ireland to get his pedals into. Could someone please point me to a good music shop that would stock boutique effects? Music Maker didn't respond to me yet.

Where is Musician inc? Perferably people with websites or emails.

EDIT: Contacted. Hopefully they'll talk and get them in. Anyone else interested in some serious Zvex gear?

Check out his site at http://www.zvex.com/

Yeah, I went into MusicMaker the other day...

Me - "Do you guys stock the EHX Microsynth, or even the Digitech Synth Wah?"
Dude in MM - "Ummmm... the keyboard synthy stuff is upstairs man... not my department"
Me - "No man, its a GUITAR pedal not a keyboard, do you stock EHX"
Dude - "Umm you may check upstairs with the synth guys... like i said... It's not my department"
    Me - *walks off*

Then i go to Musician Inc. and try out all the synth pedals ever invented... God I hate music maker.. Retards.

Musician your best bet to stock the zvex, talk to Rog... I'd be interested in the Lo-Fi loop junky but i bet it costs loads...

Hahaha... the staff are thick f*ckers... i just laughed in yer mans face and walked out... Good stock there though

They have some good stock in amongst the **** that makes up most of the shop.
The bastards in MM'll rape you if you don't know your stuff!
MM & MI recently got in Paul Gilberts Sig Ibanez, the PGM 301, & MM are charging €200 more than MI.

    MM - €2400
    MI - €2200

    Caveat Emptor!

    And back on topic...
I really don't think there is a market here for those really expensive Boutique pedals, pitty... I'd love to try out Xotic effect's Robo Talk!
Seem's you'll have to order in from Europe

The PGM301 is supposed to suck.

It's the same with boutique amps. Everyone wants to try them but very few people have the money.

Any other music shops to try? I hear there's a great on in Carlow. What about one in Cork maybe?

Whoever answered by email misunderstoof a bit:
    Hello Rosalie

Unfortunately we do not stock anything by Vextor, but we have a few
more pedals you might be interested in.

ElectroHarmonix Big Muff ( Russian & American ), €20 in the
difference. We have plenty in stock at the moment.

Jim Dunlop Fuzz Face, which is going for €179. At the moment we done
have one in stock but we can order one for you but we require a deposit
    of at least 50%

I hope this information is of help to you. If you have any further
question, please feel free to contact us.

    Yours Sincerely

Just give Musician inc a call or drop in and ask for Roger.

How much would those ZVex pedals cost anyway? I'd say those probes are expensive. Amazing technology.

Adlib in Carlow is ok, they stock gibson, ibanez, EHX, Tama, Pearl, ENGL, Fender, Line6 etc.. but i dont know if they would stock Zvex... Give em a call and ask for Barry Whyte, he probably doesn't know what Zvex pedals are but its worth a shot... You might be better off getting Zach to Email them directly... He might take them more seriously then. I'd say they might stock the Vexter FF but not any of the more weird stuff like wah probes etc...

I can see how one might think that if you played the same one i did, it was in an awful state, wasn't set up well AT ALL!!!
But if you're into the RG bodies, which i'm not, i'd say give it a shot!

+ i was looking into guitars that had upper fret access w/ a hardtail...
    The search continues...

THey're not replying to my emails past that first one... bollocks. Does anyone go there that often? Can you tell that Rog dude to email apromisinglocalband@yahoo.co.uk?

    Thanks.

This is a bit off topic, but I have to disagree with the stuff you guys said about musicmaker. Ive bought a whole rake of stuff there and have no problems with the staff or service. Unless you're a complete tosser, talk to them about something they have, and they'l knock a good bit off the price to get a sale. I just got a boss gt8 off them for nearly 50 quid cheaper than MI or PP...

And wtf are you talking about the paul gilbert signature? Its a crap guitar, but its definitely not the price you said it was...not even close...

I smell a hidden agenda or grudge or something...

Well.. some of them are assholes... I was in there again yesterday and there was this mother buying a new amp for her sons birthday... He had a 10watt fender amp... Then the wanker in MM tells the mother to buy this MG100 for only €400... "Oh yeah, this baby here is f*ckin serious amp, It's 10 times louder than the 10w amp he has at the moment, as the wattage suggests" F*ckun idiot. At least in Musician inc they wont give you bullsh1t about guitar gear... Like they'll tell you if an amp is sh1t. Musicmaker make their profit off of sellin beginners MG's and Squiers... Theyre sound enough if you know your stuff but they have this habit of ripping off beginners that dont know any better.

Sorry for dragging this off topic again but...

As a matter of interest why do you think the PGM is a crap guitar, & have you played one?
& i'm afraid it was the price i stated, €1399, now maybe i went in there when they had just got it in & were later told that Musician Inc. had one cheaper, or maybe it was a pricing mistake, but that was the price they were charging when i went in.

& i don't have a hidden agenda or anything of the sort, i just don't like cockey arrogant little salesmen on an ego trip because they think that because they work in a guitar store their word, on all things musical, is law.
I have never had a problem with the young guys in Music Maker, they've always been great, but some of the older guys...
