Has anyone owned one of these. Any known problems? Also, are they hard on petrol? Whats the average mpg?

I am considering buying one and would appreciate all feedback. Good or bad.

Well my sister has an '04 one.

I drove it once, wouldn't bother a second time to be honest.

Found it very bouncy - every pot hole goes right up through your spine and knocks your fillings out (if you should have any that is !). Also I found that I had to crouch down slightly to reach the gearstick - it's too short ! It's very noisy too - in that the sound insulation isn't great and you can hear all the road noise inside the cabin.

Overall it's a great looking machine and reasonably priced. But personally I prefer a bit of comfort and good ergonimic design than looks. Go for it it if you're into the image - it's often seen as a bit of a babe-mobile !
