Router being drowned out by others

I've a DLINK DSL-G604T which has been working great up until recently on channel 6.

My next door neighbour has a 3COM router on channel 11.

But a few weeks ago my next door neighbour + 1 got himself a Linksys router which he also put at channel 11. And ever since my router backs off when ever all 3 are active.

Getting my direct neighbour to switch to channel 1 (in the home that their battle for channel 11 might quieten down their routers) didn't help.

In short my router works if only one of theirs is turned on, but once all 3 are active I'm goosed but they seem ok?!

Anybody have any suggestions or ideas?

    Thanks,
    RikD

Do you use encryption, because i am told using WPA etc actually improves keeping the signal.

I use WEP 128 bit - can't use WPA as my wireless print server doesn't support it...

Next door has changed his 3Com to channel 13 which seems to be helping, although I noticed his router comes and goes, while the linksys and I are stable. (accrodin to netstumbler anyhow)

Reading elsewhere I notice that a lot of people with Linksys routers have signal problems, and one of the solutions is to take Channel 11. Not sure if this causes a particular mode on the linksys or just reduces the noise interference....

Anyway - I've ordered a nice 6dBi antenna for my Dlink which will arrive soon, hopefully that'll make my signal strong enough to shut out the linksys, which appears to be the root cause of this problem
