    hey ,

I was just wondering , im 16yr old lad and i have this small (size of a pea) lump under my nipple ,its hurts when you put pressure on it ..

funny thing is i had the same thing on my left nipple 2 years ago .

has anyone else experienced this before , and how can i get rid of it , with the last one - i jus left it and it went after 2 months .

    And what is it

    thanks

Go get your local GP to check it out...that's what they're there for!

THE BEST ADVICE YOU CAN GET FROM ANYBODY ON BOARDS ON SUCH AN ISSUE, OR ANY OTHER MEDICAL ISSUE IS TO GO TO YOUR GP FOR A CHECK UP AND GET A PROPER DIAGNOSIS IN CASE YOU MIGHT NEED TREATMENT FOR THE CONDITION YOU ARE TRYING TO DESCRIBE TO PEOPLE HERE.

to give you peace of mind and reduce anxiety you may have from discovering this lump, not every lump one finds, especially at your age, is going to be a serious matter. most lumps or changes in your breasts that occur when you are a teen or young woman/man are due to normal changes in the breast tissue. if you find a lump it could be because of hormonal changes, a bump from an injury, an infection, or a benign (not cancerous) tumor called a fibroadenoma. if the lump is sore or the skin over it is red, you may have an infection. if the lump does not disappear after a short period of time vis. a week, see your GP who may order a simple examination of what kind of lump you have.

coincidentally, i have had lumps on my nipples on numerous occaisions as a teenager, and all of them disappeared quickly enough. i had one examined, the first one, and my doctor told me it was nothing to be concerned about and was totally down to hormonal changes.

BUT CERTAINLY GO TO SEE YOUR GP. TALK TO YOUR MOTHER ABOUT IT FIRST IF YOU THINK IT WILL HELP. YOUR MOTHER IS YOUR BEST RESOURCE FOR ADVICE AND INFORMATION AT YOUR AGE WITH REGARD TO MANY OF THE EXPERIENCES YOU HAVE WHILE PROGRESSING INTO ADULTHOOD.
