Under Pressure picture 32k

did this today for a title screen for a webpage entitled Under Pressure. its a site aimed at young people with depression/stree/suicidal tendencies albums.

any changes needed you think? ideas etc.

A black BG might help the mood of the pic tho.

Another idea, would be to have more of a "spotlight" effect on the dude.

Excellent pic.

Two suggestions.

It's gonna be on a splash page?
*shudder*

The tone of the text, seems somewhat too happy for the content. That's just my impression. Perhaps putting in black and white, or using a different colour.
Blue is generally a colour we associate with calmness.

I think gray or maybe a really stale blue might convey the message a bit more clearly.


Anyway,
it's a really good drawing.

i drew the guy crouching first.

made the text up in 3dstudio max and printed out the wireframe in very light grey.

traced over the outline in pen.

scanned this and the guy and stuck together.

coloured it up in photoshop.

voila.

bout 5 1/2 hours work from deciding to do a splash screen to finish. Colouring it and adding cracks in lettering (also photoshop)took like 4 of those.

Figment

There is a great sense of dark pressure and crowding from the letters. Really effective and looks great.
My only quibble is wondering if the beginning and ends of the words need to be highlighted a bit better to make them more instantly readable?
