Can anyone advise me how to make it easier to put a blog on a website I'm thinking of setting up with any software , or would it be easier just to update it every day with FTP as I would a website?

If you don't want to install a local application, tools like Blogger update your blog via FTP for you.

Mmm...I think I'll do it via FTP and just manually change the page.

I'd prefer to stick with what I know rather than all the palaver.

you could use www.blogger.com and then put an frame in your page.

i know its not the best solution but its the laziest one.

Why would he need to put a frame in his page? Blogger will publish directly to his site if he wishes.

If it can publish directly to my site that would be cool.

You really should give WordPress a go, if you do have access to a MySQL DB. It's very nice...
