"Concerns have been raised over the health and fitness of local children, following a controversial decision by Ennis Town Council to ban skate-boarding, rollerblades and cycling in the town's parks and open spaces.

Councillor's have voted to adopt the 2005 by-laws to the local Park's and Open spaces policy, in the interests of public safety and insurance liability, despite growing worries over increasing levels of childhood obesity throughout the country."

While it may be convenient for to target skateboarding for discrimination; rollerblading and cycling?
I'm not sure what parks Ennis Town has to protect but open spaces?
Seems a bit OOT. Maybe they want to eliminate mountain biking but this really looks like some sort of general anti-children measure.
