just got back there. managed to get another ticket. well done to ionapaul who somehow managed to get a ticket! VERY long game which saw the blinds reach the max of 5000, 10000.

dropped in on the merrion to see the WSOP satellite. De Deraco was down to last 3 tables with 5 tickets up for grabs

...and I still got into work for 8:25! That's dedication, folks.

If the rest of the final table knew how to adapt to the flat prize structure like Rory and Charles, I would have been out in 8th for €90 credit, rather than getting a full ticket. I had 6k left with the blinds 5k / 10k and was UTG + 2, the short stack to the left of me had only to sit tight for another 5 minutes to get rid of me, but foolishly went all in (less than 3xBB) on Rory's big blind and out he went. I had expected this, which is why I didn't push earlier in the level. Now that the ticket's in the bag, I won't play this head-wrecker again until next month...

i will never win a ticket

    - last week: KK(me) vs A8 vs 88 - last remaining 8 flopped

    - last night: TT(me) vs 99 vs AQ - no divine right to win the hand i know but the 99 took it all, (held by one old guy who always outdraws me) , flop J T x turn 8, river 7

ok so i should mention an earlier hand where i was on the BB, with 400, and the blinds went up 50, 100. after a raise to 300 and 3 callers, i had to go all in. didn't look at my cards till the JJx flop came down, I had J4. Pre flop raiser went pushed with KJ...turn 4...(i was dealing too hee hee)

i've played about 15 freerolls this year now and the best i've managed is the bubble

I totally agree with this.... the newbies haven't a clue how to play out these games. I've picked up a fair few tickets as well when I had no right to!
