I installed a pci isdn modem yesterday. It came with a 2 metre rj-45 cable. The cable that was there already is'nt working but is the right length. The 2 metre one works. I need to get cable the same as the 2 metre one but at about 8-10 metres. Anybody any idea where I can get one or if I can make one from cat5.Thanks.

Cat 5 should do the job just fine. Any computer shop/nerd will have some.

Yup, I'm using about 20m of Cat5 to connect my PC upstairs to the ISDN PNP box downstairs. Works the best, and the cable can be used perhaps to connect into a router if/when/if broadband ever happens in my area...
