About time too!!! Sick of finding something 'interesting' there to find they won't ship from the Uk or charge more than the item's worth!

Any digiboxes up there yet?! ;-)

i went on and had a look at a few items, so some are from UK and won't ship to Ireland .

Not sure but I think the page is just the same as UK site but with EURO prices

sometimes if you ask them it they will ship to ireland from the uk they will even when they only have ship to uk on the item. i have bought plenty on this premise.

You ask the seller if they will ship to Ireland, I find its not a problem with smaller items.

If you do a search for "lnb", location: Ireland Only, there are no matches. They're located somewhere else (UK, Germany, etc.).

It could be useful to see straight away what's available to Ireland. However, I've always asked and had items delivered to Ireland. Nobody ever said they wouldn't ship to the republic...

So, I'll stay with the UK site for the time being.

Good to see ebay ireland alright. The one thing that gets me is the ripoff postage from the UK for anything to ireland or other EU countries.
Its not often the postage is realistic.
I sent a satellite receiver to the UK first class from Austria to the UK for Eur17 approx. No doubt if I had bought one and had it sent to me it would be 20GBP from a UK seller.
For anyone in Central Europe its cheaper to get stuff sent from Germany than bother with UK sellers.
Good luck with ebay ireland , about time.

Hasn't ebay.ie been around for quite some time already, a year or two, or whatever?

    Very true except !

    1. Bugger all surplus SKY kit in Germany , its in the UK where Freeview Digital is eating into SKY installations.

    2. The product descriptions are in German or <worse> in German TLA form . I'm OK with that but many boardsies havent a word of German :)

Shipping from Germany is certainly no more than from the UK, and is just as fast .

(the same thing in German....hint hint )

I think as soon as something is classed as a parcel by Deutsch Post it gets expensive irrespective of the size or weight. Believe it or not in comparison with other countries in terms of price we have a great postal service.

BTW, eBay in Austria has similar prices to Germany but the postage costs seem to be around the same levels as they would be here. Not as great a selection obviously.

Yeah, it was around under ebayireland.com or something... can't remember the correct URL now. It's just recent that it's been ebay.ie though very few sellers from Ireland. :(

    Agreed,
Depends where you want the stuff sent. But overall I dont want Sky anything here and being not far from Germany it makes sense not to bother with UK for most goods.
As for descriptions in German, thats not so difficult?!
But as this is off topic, ebay Ireland, Im well pleased for my mates back there who also have issue with UK postage rates of a dubious nature.
