How do I get rid of a broken freezer?

I bought a new one and the shop will not remone the old one, a skip company wont take it because it is a white good and mus be disposed of correctly and the county council say I should bring it to a bring centre. I would if I could but I have no access to car and am blind

    Help!

Talk to your council, they may occassionally do junk collections once or twice a year.

Also ask them if the shop selling is obliged to take the old one back.

Also, try explaining your situation. :D

    Hi,

Depending on your location in Dublin, the City Council have recycling centres where fridges and freezers are accepted without charge.

I disposed of one in Shamrock Terrace North Strand for a Gentleman, I was surprised they allowed a commercial van in as these centres are usually dedicated to cars.

Perhaps if you call the City Council and explain your position they may ask one of their truck drivers based in housing and maintenance around the corner on Popular Row to collect it for you.
