Just curious if ne1 else hobbies around with this. Would be interested in seeing some of your work and maybe collaborating on animations. Ive been using Lightwave since version 2 on the Amiga and currently use 6.1. My particular interests lie in special FX and compositing.

Yeh, I play around with 3D stuff...
Nothing great, more of a half-assed hobby really.
I hear there's quite a few peeps around here that have some nice 3d skills smile.gif

    Ye, I use 3dsMax for 3d werk.
Should be getting lightwave soon, I hear the render engine on LW is pretty fantastic.

RE: LW Render engine. Ah its okay. Definetly the best raytracer around. But radiosity is where its at these days. And LWs radiosity renderer is SLOW. No final gathering method and cant get plugin renderers for LW. Which is why Ive been learning me some XSI on the side! Being poor at lighting scenes radiosity and HDRI images are a godsend for me!

Wanted to learn max at one stage for mentalray but just hated the inerface too much smile.gif Oh and a little test I threw together of LW6 radiosity rendering...

Couldnt be assed making it a clicky smile.gif

And if youre really bored you can have a look at a frame from an animation I did which brought a picture I took on holidays to life. A fully interactive composited 3d ocean. Excuse the crude test object in the scene. Used to make sure it went in front of and behind objects in the picture okay...
