Heres a pic recently i did for Net house cafes.
the original is a HUGE file ,its a bus sop shelter poster like.
I'm only used to doin stuff for screen. This whas my first attempt @ doin somting for print.
I actully took the photographs for it myself cos i could'nd find anything near the resaluton i needed for free online
Unfortunataly u cant see much of the detail from the jpeg, but ya get the genral idea.
    What yaz think?
(Hmmm for some reson the pic takes about 20-30 secs to download. Its only 44k like. Probobly cos its on an eircom server - lol biggrin.gif )

the original is actully a 2.6 gig file (thats not a typo btw smile.gif )
I Did'nt have quark so had to do the whole thing in photoshop. plus it was actully done @ 300 dpi, it was my first poster like i had'nd a clue how hi rez to do it so i went with 300 to be safe.
I origialy tryed it @ home and my putter nearly blew up smile.gif, so went down to NetHouse and done it on 1 of there new putters.
It still took ages tho. Like for example 30mins to open the file. 45mins to save the file. 15 mins to put type in, 20 min for a transform ect.
so i'd just like change somting go off and play quake for a few mins an come bak like and it'd still be trying to process it.
It was using a 10gig swap file/scratch disk!!
Sure just ask Sico, Monty , Shadow or theFANJ
    there witnesses smile.gif
I've l8r learned that 300 dpi was a fair bit too hi rez for a poster that size - lol.
Ah well u live ya learn. biggrin.gif

Tis true, witnessing the act of saving the file...start saving the file, wander down to Mc'D's for some food then wander back up to nethouse and it would still be saving...

If i can suggest, next time use illustrator. You are using a lot of clear shapes and illustrator would be perfect for it as its vector so uses less information(a6 same file size as a1). The middle part would need to be done in photoshop (though possible in illustrator) which you could then import.
It will save you so much time.

Not sure how widespread it's gonna be tho.
