Prefer to work nights, but i havent seen a huge amount of night time jobs going. So any one have any suggestions of jobs that arent 9-5?

Depends on your experience etc. Some jobs are easy to find shift work and odd hours for. Others aren't.

fair enough, but take it from someone who has experienced all the different types of shift work and odd hours that a body can do, 9-5 is by far the best and most sociable shift pattern to work.

of course, each to their own, but i dont know any millionaires who work the 11pm to 7am shift :)

Yep there's usually good few night jobs in security. I did nightwork at a factory which is fairly handy. Didn't like the hours though. 8pm-8am and sometimes 6pm-8am! Spent most of my days sleeping. Longed for a 9-5!

petrol stations are good for the unusual hours.
i always preferred the 3-11 shift to anyhting else.

always the chance to swap around too if you get bored.
pay will be crap as there are plenty of people who will work there if you wont.

9-5 is the only way to get decent money.

That's because they are all sleeping or socialising while you sleep or work :D

I had no experience and it didn't seem to be a problem. I think if it's retail security they often want experience alright.
Get the Golden pages and ring up some of the security companies. I'm sure some of them will be looking for people.

OK, did a 3pm to 10pm shift. Unless you get up @ 8am, and so all your stuff during the day, your doomed, as your day is gone by then.

9-5 job is good, as you have more hours.

    Oh, and daytime TV sucks.

OR... are you going to college during the day?

i m in college, but summer holidays. I want to be able to go into town for the shops. or hit the gym early, anything after 6 is a nightmare.

also, i am really not a morning person at all.

Cleaning job? Hours are usually evening and pay is about €12 an hour. 2 hours cleaning equals 3 hours in a normal summer job.

I know you think of cleaning toilets when that is mentioned but there's plenty of cleaning jobs that would suit the average man more than the women. :)
