    our family have been going to france for summer hols now for quite some time
    my dada has suddenly got the motivation to learn some french
    is there any good online tutorials or watever for a person with absoloutely no previous knowledge of french

    Fair play to him...

    He'll probably need a bit more than this but the BBC course might be a good place to start: French Steps. If you have BBC, taping the programmes (they're generally at some really unfriendly hour of the night) is no bad thing either.

    www.realfrench.net excellent site to pick up the basics right up to the expert stuff. Lots of games too.
