The truth about the PS3

Sony has finally come clean about the PS3 demos shown at the E3 show.

Apparently the amazing graphics that where shown of Killzone were running on PCs using current-generation PC technology. Sony said that Killzone is still going to have amazing graphis but they havent even finished RSX graphics card. Maybe they didnt even start it and pretending that they will have it finished. Their probably just saying all this so people will buy it but you know Sony all full of lies.

It was already know that there was no final Next gen hardware running games at E3.

well least the xbox 360 was running off 3xpower macs that have more or less the exact hardware the 360 has, so it gave a decent idea of what the 360 games will be like, unlike sony, who had videos, that will NEVER BE POSSIBLE and they dont even have the "cell" built, new technology like sonys cell will be hard for game companys to get used to, therefore the graphics will not compeate with xbox360, it'll be xbox1180, and ps6 that MIGHT be able to play games like the kilzone 2 video, anyway, killzone is ****€.

The 360 was running off two G5. Probably running at 2.7Ghz with ATI's most powerful card.
Toshiba have already started production of the Cell processors and I think so have to.

no bias, just the cell is new technology, and least MS game videos at e3 where running off G5's which have similar power to the 360, u have to admit, the ps3 or xbox 360 WILL NEVER BE ABLE to do what that killzone video shows.

That’s like saying Windows 3.1 and it’s respective hardware was easer to program for, therefore the graphics on Windows XP and it’s respective hardware will not compete with 3.1.

In other words, stop talking ****, if the hardware if far superior even if there’s a steeper learning curve for developers graphics should be better.

did i say killzone2? no you retard, ive played killzone, and it is terrible, the ps2 has no good shooters. even if it wont *cough* the ps3 is a better console it wont have the online, multiplayer games the xbox will, ps2 network play is horrible, and no good games, but i suppose, least it's free.

You were talking about "killzone 2", and as much as implied that the first game’s quality, or lack of quality in your view, somehow automatically translates into a "bad" second game.

i dont think anyone would say killzone is a good game, in fact, its a terrible game, but maybe killzone2 will be better, but in my opinion the graphics wont be like the prerendered e3 video.

look at ghost recon 3, sweet graphics from the actual gameplay, now, not nearly as good as killzone2 correct cuase killzone isnt actual gameplay, anyway i dont really care, why? cause killzone is terrible, sony have no good fps, and the controller looks like a twin ended dildo im finished now.

your repeating yourslef, ive played killzone, and seen killzone2 videos at e3, now killzone is a teerible, horrible game, 2 will be no differnet as in same game engine prolly online, with better graphics, that how i know itll suck, just cause its a new game dont mean it'll be better, we all know how much h2 sucks in comparion to halo, "no it doesnt, the grpahics are sweet" thats what i think killzone will be like, worse, but with better graphics, and how can i be so sure u keep asking me, BECAUSE IVE PLAYED KILLZONE AND ITS SHlT u cant turn SHlT into a good game. im just using h2 fanboy opionion to show how grpahics arnt the core of a game, the gameplay is, and halo:combat evolved is the best console shooter, it came out at xbox launch, and it still has better graphics then when killzone was relased last year on the ps2.

So you’re basing this on the apparent fact that follow-up games can never be better? Well that’s bull, two prime examples are the Burnout and GTA lines of games.

And I’m still repeating my self asking you how you can be so sure that the graphics will “NEVER BE POSSIBLE” on the PS3 because you haven’t answered it. You’ve circled the question, side shifted away from the question but you haven’t answered the question.

im not basing the example on sequels at all, take timesplitters for example, original one sucked. all im saying is if killzone2 is better then halo like sony said pre-release to killzone1 *cough* lies, and the graphics are as good as e3, i will personally paypal you with €50. sonys harware was always questionable, ps2 dvd-drives dying, flimsy controllers, the cell hopefully will not follow suit, i have ps2, and i will have both xbox360 and ps3 when there released, all im saying is that killzone WILL NOT LOOK like it did at e3.

To sum up:
It was shown that in fact MS sent out the cable as a stopgap, the power supply connector is the problem AFAIK. So no, thats not a particularly good example.

Personally I'd rather my PS2 drive burnt out than my house.

You must be a retard if you belief PS3 is going to have the graphics shown on the killzone demo, It was running off three high-tech PCs and Xbox 360 was running off a mac PC which has the same power as the Xbox 360.

Microsoft have their hardware made, Sony dont its still in progress (maybe its not even started, we dont know) so how are they going to live up to their promises when they're all lies and the "great" Sony even lied before the PS2 was out, the PS2 never lived up to their promises. It was supposed to have excellent graphics better than the PC and quicker loading times but what did we get, a black box which looked like it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down!

What Sony are trying to do is get every one to see that PS3 is going to be better than Xbox 360 by making false statements and showing a demo of Killzone with brilliant graphics even though it is shi**er than the Xbox 360 so that people will buycott the XBox 360 and wait for the PS3. Sony is trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

I wouldnt be surprised if the PS3 was delayed for another five months.

And if you want to get your facts right (and help your clear Xbox bias), MS claimed that most of the 360 stuff being demoed was not running on the equivalently of full powered 360s, but was just running on the equivalently of one core.
