guitar query

just wondering, how easy/hard is the guitar to learn? would i need "professional help" or just get someone to teach me??
i've been doing music for 10 years (keyboard(snore) and voice training), so it would just be the technical stuff i suppose (and learning off the chords)

Just a matter of practising and sticking at it. And seeing as you think Green day are the best band in the world it shouldn't be too hard.

You obviously have a grounding in music theory so learning the guitar should be mostly a matter of learning technique with some guitar theory (how the guitar is tuned and so forth). If you have a guitar or can borrow a guitar for a weekend, download some tabs for some songs (Green Day songs are fairly handy) and give it a go!

I think the hardest thing about learning a new instrument is pushing yourself to practise regularly and trying to get into a routine, and since you have obviously achieved this in another instrument, learning guitar should be no hassle. Ok, im not saying youre gonna be the next zakk wylde, but give it a few months and you should be ok. Best of luck!

nah that shouldn't be a problem, cause i really wanna play, just doing the old leaving at the mo, have to get that outta the way first!!
