He ran for President in 2004, and 2003. Also in 2003 he went for Welfare Officer when the winner resigned (SU Council elected Mike Miley as temporary Welfare Officer then).

He got 350 votes in 2003 and 148 votes in 2004.

    'a thread for christopher..'

It's like a 'song for europe' titlewise.

D'you know, i always had an admiration for him with his slightly 'not in sync with the college population views' and his persistence in publicly standing up for what he believed. And, i never had a boring conversation with him.

Im glad people in Trinity still care about the issues I raised. Im doing well here in South Texas, and perparing to start lawschool in the fall in Ave Maria in Ann Arbor, MI. Untill then, Im working in a law firm when im not hunting or with the ladies. I miss Trinity though, pettiness and all. Im not really contraversial down here as everyone generally agrees with me. I am part of a small minority group though. Brownsville is about 95% Mexican. They have great family values, but few speak English. Guess ive grown quite fond of my colonial mentality status. Anyway, all the best my fellow Trinners!

He made comments apparently that gatlings child, which was born out of wed lock, should have been killed, or so I'm told. Also "apparently" he's a homophobic racist. Lots more stuff on top of that, don't know how true any of it is really. I voted for him cause he had a funny name.

i love how they blow thing out of porportion! I would never propose killing children as i was the pro-life canidate. i have gay friends and even drank at the george a time or two. i think homosexuality is wrong, but like few at Trinity though, im not afraid to say what i really think about the subject. im not a racist. i voted for allen keys in the republican primaries, want thomas to be the next cheif justice and would vote for rice if she ran. they're all black! last night, i went on a date with a girl from mexico (although her family is really from Spain). i do love sterotypes though, there's always a hint of truth in them.

i spent today at my new job in a law firm. it was tough, but i really liked it and someday i shall be a fine lawyer. i told three people that they arnt getting out of jail ann time soon as their appeals were quashed. kind of felt bad for them, but when one looks at what some of them did, you'd think a proper hanging was in order! probably more of the same tomorow, though i might be in court. still feel like sort of a lackey though. i think develing before lawschool is better then after because you havent developed the lawyer's sence of pride yet.

Lets just say for a minute I believe you're who you say you are. I did find the image of you as a mindless homophobic racist Nazi a bit too convenient. especially considering the source. I think allot of people found CG morality very objectionable but one thing was for sure he was not as two demensional as people made out. I suspected you would be the type of person to have gay friends, at the time. You seemed full or paradoxes. Where the rumors about you and homeless men true?

I know much more about Christopher than any you guys do and have a lot of respect for him. He speaks his mind and his views are different, but never allowed those to be suppressed by anyone objecting to him!

We had a whale of a time in Brownsville! Want to head back and meet him sometime again. Best of luck with Law School and fun in court!

His dad is really cool too and has a cat that prefers water from the bathroom sink to the drinking bowl.....

so he'd go to the box of condoms. pierce thru the wrapper into the condom it's self, prick a hole. then stick the condoms back in the box, and the box back in the sock drawer/fridge/whereever you kept them (fridge?) and then say nothing. so house mate comes along, whips it on, doesnt realise it's broken.....ha...genius i say.

it funny how that story got so twisted! i had a french flatmate and she stole my jumper so i played a joke on her. i poked alot of holes so she saw it immedatley (she would prob. not have gone full term if she got pregnant anyway and i knew that). she moved out after that and a nice girl from Rome moved in and peace reigned in the flat.
as for the questionable morals, i was not the contraversial one. i simply restated traditional morality. it was the contraversal ones who reacted so badly to that. unfortunatly, i Trinity, they out number us. unfortunatly for them!

Let me atart by saying that I never knew you to be dishonest particularly about yourself.

What I would ask though is about the people you felt sorry for because they were refused parole.

You are aware that most people in US prisions are black or hispanic. Now there are other minorities. Bankers, stockbrokers. these are not represented in prisions to the degree they are in the general population. then there are in places majorities. Blacks, poor people. These dont seem to be represented by their ratio in the general population in the type of minority I just mentioned e.g. judges stockbrokers. So if your god does not think black people and poor people are not worse than others can you explain why they are filling up your prisons? and can you suggest what might be done about that? I ask you because you want to be part of the US legal system.

I also believe you believe in a Universal Law. George Bush believes in that also to some degree. His belief of the rights of the unborn or of the rights of the innocent (note those who got the death penalty are not considered innocent by law only by God) in the recent right to die case.

The US justice system is very much against this Universal principle of rights or natural justice. So how do you not justify international war crimes Tribunals and would you like to see a US system of Justice that recognised Natural Law?

minorities simply commit more crimes per capita. its generally like that in many countries
(why do so many nigerians and gypsies get arrested in Ireland?). there are many factors such as poverty and lack of education, but i think pulling the 'race card' has gotten a bit dull. if one looks at black culture, such as their music and entertainment, one will see the glorification of volience and crime. ever heard of rap? well there you go. i love it when quasi-intellectuals project ideas on a system that they really dont understand. my solution is not to create new laws, but simply to inforce those currently in existence. stiffer penalties, greater restriction on what is allowed in regards what children can see on tv. the promotion of better black role models such as Justice Clerence Thomas and Condi Rice as opposed to Tupac and Easy E.
I believe in Natural Law. This over arching principal is the law that is written in our hearts. note the core idea of almost all cultural norms are the same. i would hardly believe that God would see those guilty of have committed a capital crime as being innocent unless they were wrongly convicted, which rarely happens. i dont want an international tribunal for the same reason i dont want a UN. the same silly individuals who put china, libya and cuba on the human rights commision would be passing judgement against our leaders and troops. i dont follow the logic in that.
As the Declaration states how we were "endowed by our creator", our system was founded on the Judeo-Christian tradition, namely the idea of Natural Law. it was only in the last century that changing society has erodded these strong principals.

well i pointed to the minorities of stockbrokers who whether they commit more crimes or not are not in prison to the same ratio they are in the population.
(why do so many nigerians and gypsies get arrested in Ireland?).

A very good question! Let us exclude those trying to enter Ireland. Let us also exclude romany gypsies and take "gypsies" to refer to families who live in caravans or used to live there. Do you think their level of crime (which with travellers I agree is higher although I dont know about the Nigerian figure but am prepared to accept it is higher than their percent of population) is because of their minority status? why then arent judges, stockberokers and priests who are far less numerous than nigerians (currently irelands largest third country minority and indigenous travellers, well why are are they not higher per capita in the prision population?
there are many factors such as poverty and lack of education,

But you are twisting the question. I asked you the specific question as to why poor people are a great proportion of the prison population in the US. Just saying "because they are poor" is not an answer is it? does God not like the poor as well as the rich? Please answer the question.
but i think pulling the 'race card' has gotten a bit dull. if one looks at black culture, such as their music and entertainment, one will see the glorification of volience and crime.

and you have three handguns! Surely the huge amount of gun clubs among white Americans attests to a glorification of gun culture?
    ever heard of rap?

    ever heard of EMINEM?
well there you go. i love it when quasi-intellectuals project ideas on a system that they really dont understand. my solution is not to create new laws, but simply to inforce those currently in existence.

so then you must have disagreed with Bush bringing in a new law overning to try to prevent someone being lawfully given a right to life to prevent the family from allowing that person die by not feeding them? did you disagree with that? It doesn't require intellect to answer, just moral decision. did you disagree?
stiffer penalties, greater restriction on what is allowed in regards what children can see on tv. the promotion of better black role models such as Justice Clerence Thomas and Condi Rice

Are black role models only republican. Can you think of a Democratic party member who is balck or a human rights activist who you can say is a role model? Otherwise your judgement might seem a little colored to put it the american way.
as opposed to Tupac and Easy E.

But do you not accept that the people who actually promote suchlike artists are mainly white? The industry was just crying out for an EMINEM just as it did for Elvis. Elvis is now a cultural icon and hero. conservative America verated him (and RandB and rock and roll which came from black roots) as a child of the devil.
    I believe in Natural Law.

A sweeping statement but I have posted elsewhere on this so I will say so do I. Beliving on it does not make it true for others. One is required to Act on belief. I should remind you that the muslim fundamentalist who did 9/11 also believed one is required to act on belief.
This over arching principal is the law that is written in our hearts. note the core idea of almost all cultural norms are the same.

As stated I have posted on it elsewhere. that was one of my supporting arguments.
I would hardly believe that God would see those guilty of have committed a capital crime as being innocent unless they were wrongly convicted, which rarely happens.

apparently there was a notable case of someone innocently convicted of a capital crime. he was called Jesus. Guess what they did?
i dont want an international tribunal for the same reason i dont want a UN. the same silly individuals who put china, libya and cuba on the human rights commision would be passing judgement against our leaders and troops. i dont follow the logic in that.

So doyou accept the appointments to the US supreme court who support the current abortion situation there or do you believe that that position is wrong? But they are passing judgement on your unborn? and while the UN does represent other countries from where does the US derive the right to invade other countries. they claimed the UN gave them the right. without the UN do you now claim that if the US want to invade anywhere that they should? And please dont suggest it is justified for self defence. The Us military have attacked targets inside and outside the US over the last century. Primarily this was for business/economic interests.
As the Declaration states how we were "endowed by our creator", our system was founded on the Judeo-Christian tradition, namely the idea of Natural Law. it was only in the last century that changing society has erodded these strong principals.

Yep. Eroded the christian principle of "blessed are the poor and the meek" perhaps. But not the Judaic principle?

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.
And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.
