Isn't it great the way they release the full lineup once the tickets are sold out?

It's hardly Glastonbury ffs. Very poor organisation from MCD compared to other festivals.

I have to admit though the Oxegen line-up is very solid this year. There are a lot of good acts, the big problem as usual though is that all the good acts are on at the same time. So when you actually pick the artists you'll go to see over the whole weekend the festival doesn't look half as good. I am going to Glastonbury for my first time this year. Although the lineup doesn't include a whole lot more big acts than Oxegen, the good thing about it is that its spread over 3 days so you get to see a lot more bands as they are spread right across the weekend and across the days.

    Anyone hear "The Blizzards" yet.
Supposed to be an up and coming Irish band to look out for, see they are playing on the Sunday (im in no way associated with them by the way)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,110 ✭✭✭Mr Rivers

Well if they are playin on Sunday and not listed then maybe there's still hope for Mars Volta :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,592 ✭✭✭Ro: maaan!

Of all these recent additions the only one I have any interest in is Feeder. Babyshambles would round it off nicely for me. Mars Volta would round it off even nicelyer.

A really uninteresting line up for me.
Guess that means I can drink more though.

the new band stages are not finalised yet i dont think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,592 ✭✭✭Ro: maaan!

Ticket Stage on Sunday only looks about half full.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,221 ✭✭✭RichyX

Surprised it sold out all ready since the line up isn't as good as last year.

Wouldn't bother going no matter how good it looks on paper. The way the f*cking thing is organised destroys alot of the fun it.

hehehe such a negative post, I've never had a bad time at oxegen\witnness, can't believe how people complain so much. And it's a better line up than last year, maybe not for you personally but look how many different types of fans will be attracted to just the top four acts on the saturday

babyshambles are announced on the roughtrade website but they have yet to be put on the oxegen website...someone said that they'll release another batch of tickets and then announce babyshambles?!

Hmmm... very interesting! And I can believe that they'd hold back more tickets!

A very solid lineup.. argh, the one year I was really tempted to go and it sells out... I was just too lazy to get the tickets early enough... and the Jimmy Chamberlain complex are playing too.. :(

Just noticed that SFA are playing on the new band stage.....Why??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,110 ✭✭✭Mr Rivers

I know! It was announced they were headlinin it the same day they were announced to be playin. They're way to old to be a "New Band"

Last year's New band Stage introduced me to Hope of the States so I love it, I'll be there most of the weekend

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,592 ✭✭✭Ro: maaan!

It even says on the Oxegen site that SFA are releasing their 7th album atm. At least if they claimed ignorance it would be something.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,110 ✭✭✭Mr Rivers

Wow! Foo Fighters only have 5 albums, why not them? Take them from Main Stage, they aren't professional enough for it

Oxegen just isn't going to be the same without Muse...

Why are foo fighters on the same time as James Brown?

They're the two acts I wanted to see :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 427 ✭✭Epitaph

Oh FFS...when the hell did Interpol get added to the lineup? Missed that completely. Oh well. :(

    SFA are a new band?

Good line up. I've no ticket but I'll just pay on the door same as last summer.

Oh man, I'd love to be going this year.

The age shouldn't be an issue for anyone over 15/16. The age rule is never enforced. I was 16 (Fairyhouse 2002) when I first went and I made an ID to make sure I'd get in, I left it at home by mistake and got in without any problems.

The money I can't help you with... ;)
