I just bought a Japanese PSP and the manual's in Japanese too (obviuosly). Could anyone tell me what the 2 symbols on the left hand side of the console mean? The two just left of the analog stick.

One tells you when the memory stick is being accessed and the other lights up when the Wi-fi is on. The mem stick one has a Magic gate logo and the wifi one has a something like (( )) for its logo i think.. dont have my PSP to hand.

The top one is an activity light for the memory stick.

The bottom on is activity light for the wireless connection.

    EDIT: Beaten by stevie >_<

Thanks everyone. Also, will any USB cable do when I go to connect it to the PC?

Yes. Any cable that fits should work.

I'm really considering buying a psp but don't know where to buy it.

    Any suggestions anyone?

Lik-sang would be your best bet, but you could always give eBay a shot.

If you're used to shopping online, e-bay and a number of tech specific sites can ship in PSPs for you.

If you prefer to buy it here in Dublin, then Mr Calculator gets in around 6 each week, but they sell at around €350-€360, and come with a neoprene pouch, sampler disc, mains transformer and US power plug, though he may throw in US plug adaptor with it. Otherwise you can get them easily at one of those luggage/travel stands in dept stores. Or more simply you can use an Irish plug and cable with a "figure of eight" style connection at one end.

The games there cost €70, but I bought two and he gave me a €20 discount.

Happy hunting, then happy playing...
