anyone got any opinions on this game...the bookies are giving a 5 point handicap to Carlow....is this a fair handicap....I dont know much about carlow football but to me i think Wexford will win by more than this margin...

I think 5 points is probably fair enough but actually think it could be closer than that.
as someone was sayin on the radio today Carlow have tended to be a banana skin for WX down through the years and Carlow felt like they have a shot at this game, especially being written off by everyone
but to be honest I haven't really been noticing what Carlow have been up to more recently but if they are anything like they were a few years back they could be tough enough,
and I saw WX in the League final, wasn't overly impressed tbh but they obviously must have played better to get there
and I suppose their Croke Park experience will stand to them from this year and last

have been looking at carlows league form this year and away from home it has been pretty dismal...its very hard to find team and the like on the web....i'd like to find out more before i have a punt on this game....i just feel wexford's recent experience of croker, the bigger pitch etc...+ Matty Forde will see them overcome the handicap....but i'd like more info before i decide...

I wouldn't underestimate any team in the Championship so far. No team, no matter how poor they are, are willing to just lie down and be hammered.

Just look at London's display last weekend. I was expecting Roscommon to beat them by a cricket score.

And look how closely Wicklow ran Kildare. I think Wexford will win but it could well be within that five point margin.

Look at how Longfrod lay down to Dublin. I think Roscommon are a poor team as are Kildare and that is why they were run so close. Cant see Carlow finishing the game within 5 points of the League finalists, but I have benn wron g before :)

Wexford shouldnt have any big problems, from what i know of the Carlow football they've had a pretty bad run lately, not sure bout the 5 handicap though

I am going for a win for Wexford! But John Hudson is injured and Kinsella dropped so I am not sure about the handicap, although with Hegarthy injured that should help balance it out in Wexfords favour! It will also be interesting to see Banville play as there has been a bit of hype about his decision to quit Waterford United to concentrate on gaelic football!

I think Carlow can pull off a win today but it's going to be tough.

    Come on Carlow!!!

Carlow to make it tough but Waxford to win in the last few mins

That was more or less how it was. A late rally by Wexford pulled them away, but they have a lot of work to do to get beyond Dublin. Looks like a Laois v Dublin final.
