    1) http://www.tcd.ie/Accommodation/hallfirst.htm
    2) After you accept your place with the CAO
    3) We can't answer that.

if you live down the country you should have a reasonable chance of getting into halls.
not a hope if you live in dublin.

    will i get in?

Depends on where your home address is, who else applies and the alignment of the stars at 3 minutes past midnight.

I think the main factor is your home address, tbh.

I've known Kilkenny ppl to get places in Trinity Hall. Check with the accommadation office once you know the story re CAO (eeek, good luck with all that) and get back to them quickly, college like having forms and stuff in as soon as possible so they can be shuffled around, moved from desk to desk and made into big piles. Well, also so they can process stuff quickly too...i hope... Lots of people i know lived in Trinity Hall for first year, and then in 2nd year moved in with the friends they made there to flats or house shares. I was a little jealous of the Hall crowd when i was in first year, they all seemed to know so many people from lots of courses and had moved in the weekend before Freshers Week started so they already knew people.

On the off chance if you don't get a place there's an accommadation advisory service that'll be running in College for (i think) a couple of weeks before freshers week. In the past that's had people working there that you can ask questions, maps, a phone line, the newspapers with the accommadation listings and a computer or two to check the listings online - it's usually somewhere in the arts block. The SU has lists of accommadation (flats, houseshares and digs) in their front office too.

There's also www.daft.ie, which is a good way of finding accommadation in Dublin.

There's a Hall website, which I think the JCR is updating.

You can get some great parties out in halls - been to one or two this year. one of em was the college organised halloween party - which meant we went out, stole free pizza and beer then returned to someones room for more drink. the other one was just insane :)

naaa naa naaa, you just move apts when security show up...we moved the party between all the floors of one building one time i was there, like every hour we were told to leave so moved to a new apt
