One of the lads in work heard this on the radio this morning that this crowd are selling new packard bell Easynote laptops for €699.
I rang the shop and the guy there said they don't have them in stock yet and won't be selling them till saturday, but he's to ring me back with a model number so I can check the spec. All he knew is that they're AMD Sempron 3Ghz processors and have 256MB of ram.

Looking at the Packard Bell website it seems to be this one :
    Easynote E6 310

Apparently they're only getting 40 of them in, but as it's £499 in the UK not sure if it's such a great bargain.

thats 738 euro according to XE.com, going through a bank, you are looking at nearer 790. Also only 17% of that is VAT in the UK.....hmmmm.

I think its alright considering you're buying from a retail shop in Dublin.
