Does anyone do market research for any companies. If so how do i go about getting my self in to a Focus Group. So i can get paid to watch a movie, or have a few pints, or eat a couple of Pizzas, and just give my raw unadulterated views on it

No, the guy is looking to get into market research, hes asking how

My brother did it for a while, but thats coz he knew a guy whose mam was involved. Dunno how just anyone would get into it. Contact a market research company maybe?

I was once paid a hundred Euro to taste the new McDonalds burgers, one of which being the Big Tasty currently being sold.

I regularly attend such events, like tasting Guinness, various lagers and I tasted Smirnoff Ice before it was launched.

My friends mother is always getting me into these things.

Great if you can get it.

About three or four years ago I got paid £25 to eat crisps cos a guy I know was doing the graphic design for the new Tayto packets... Tayto were doing market research to find out their new flavours (I could've been responsible for flaming chilli and barbeque pesto or some other random flavour... but I'm a cheese and onion type of guy)

I done one once for bacardi. It was a great laugh, we got about three pints and €40 in a hotel with pringles during the session. We were than brought to a pub and bought barcardi products all night. Great laugh but the market research company only wanted the same person once. I think most most of these companies are the same so unless you know someone working for one of these, you'll only get one go.

But its still easy money.

I go into stores, test their customer service by asking questions they should be able answer, then leave and make a basic report later.

Get about €30 for just that.

I believe the job is called being a secret shopper

just do a quick search for that job title on any job site

Did one for a website design before when UCG were updating their site.

The research company completely diseregarded every bit of feedback we gave them and broke at least half of Nielsen's usability laws.

Try frontline focus - they do market research for pizza hut and KFC and prob other places...the only thing abt it is that they ring u all the time trying to get you to do assignments!
