upgrading

    i want to upgrade my pc
    im looking to upgrade my mobo and one of the new amd 64 chips
    i have 768mb pc2100 ram
    will i have to change that if i upgrade the mobo? :confused:

    you may be able to but the speed will be slower and may reduce the overall upgrade of moving to 64bit.

    Also remember if you install one stick as pc 2100 and the other at pc3200 both sticks will run at pc2100

    Just get new ram as well.

    €100 for a gig of pc3200.

    It wont break the bank.

    Ya just get a new mobo. As said RAM is dirt cheap at the mo. Komplettt do a Gig 3200 for 100 and Jes do it for 80. Come on ya cant complain that would be some jump from 2100 768RAM. Check komplett B grade for cheap mobos if your really stuck or the FS forum.
