I noticed something strange about one of the westmeath players - he seemed to have random patches of hair shaved off on the top of his head.Does anybody have an explaination for this? I wonder was it the result of a prank or did he have to get stitches in a wound at some stage?

    Would it be Alopecia?.

No, it looked "artificial" like he had a fight with the lawn mower :) as we used to say!

I don't think it's alopecia. I was wondering the same thing myself - although I couldn't tell if it was patches of hair or some funky hair-dying.

Even though i've not seen the pictures, if any of you have been to a hairdresser in Mullingar i'm sure you'd understand.

LOL. Yeah was wondering that myself. Talk about a dodgy haircut! You'd think he'd just shave the whole lot off after going that far!

The Westmeath County Board is considering complaining to the Games Administration Committee over an off-the-ball incident that saw star forward Dessie Dolan requiring treatment during Sunday's Leinster SFC defeat to Kilare.

Dolan received a blow to the face in the incident, was sidelined for a time and required X-rays yesterday. The referee did not spot the incident and TV cameras did not pick it up....

Did anyone see this incident ? I'm from Kildare and was at the game on Sunday. I didn't see what happened to him but he looked rough for a while afterwards. It wasn't mentioned at all on the Sunday game or on "Sports Call" on Monday evening.

A player like him is always marked out for special attention but he didn't get any unduly rough treatment during the game (except when he decided to square up to Glen Ryan).
