    Pref. Dublin area, Pref mountain areas.
    Have hiked around/up the Sugarloaf so similar would be great.
    Rank amateur so something well marked would probably be an idea.

    For a marked walk your best bet would probably be part of the wicklow way - it starts in Dublin, so you don't have far to go to the start. But you can pick anywhere you like to do a small section.

    Maps/guide are even available to order onlin from the Ondinance Survey

    Try one of the outdoor shops in Dublin, they'll have great books on walking in and around Dublin with maps, walk highlights, estimated time and fitness level required. They're cheap too.
