    Theme : Architecture

Any kind of structure, new and old, that catches your eye. You may enter any photographs taken by you at any time over the last 200 years or so. No restrictions on edits, although photos should come from one source only; no mixing & matching multiple images please.

Submissions are being taken from now until the 19th June. Email your photo(s) to boardsphotochallenge@gmail.com as usual.

Any questions, reply here. Good luck

Good theme, hopefully there'll be a few entries.

From looking back in the board, it seems as if there weren't very many entries when the photo challenge had its previous outings. If someone has a couple of relevant pictures they want to show off, why not let them? How about relaxing this to maybe max of 3 entries per person and reserve the right to bring it back down if it causes problems or an overwhelmed competition organiser. In the interest of promoting talent, if a single person wins a few prizes then award the 'spare' prizes to someone else and if someone does that every month, limit them to only 1 entry.

I'm off on holiers myself and back before the 19th so I'll keep an eye out for something architectural to enter.

I agree - three entries per person max would be nice.

never let it be said I'm not afraid to rob other peoples ideas... I had thought about raising the limit but the two of you have made me decide. 3 entries per person it is! Hurrah, my workload is tripled...

Why not just get people to post links to the images here? Or small thumbnails.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,819 ✭✭✭rymus

because if I have them in the gmail account I can put them on flickr just by forwarding them on. It also takes other people hosting the pics out of the equation so when the inevitable happens and links go down we wont have people coming on complaining that the links arent working. Might as well use gmail's unlimited space for some decent kind of archive of past competitions. It also allows for moderation and approval before any images are entered/seen by anyone.

    something like that anyway...

Excellent, I've been waiting months for another of these to start up. =] *breaks out camera gear* Pity it had to happen shortly after I'd lost my transport, grargh! hehe.

It'll be architecture within walking distance so...

and as someone pointed out to me in an entry... it doesnt have to be man-made... maybe I should have specified that from the outset

    rymus,

quick question: any limit on "where"? IE is this Ireland only or can I post stuff from outside Ireland? Plus...are you going to crib if I also have the picture up on my own flickr account, or is that okay...

    Ta very much in advance...

    Calina...

Edit: just read charter...will keep stuff off my own flickr site to avoid confusion.

No limits on where/when/why/how the picture is taken. As far as having the picture on your own flickr account, it's your picture, you have the rights to post it or submit it anywhere you wish so there will be no humming and hawing from me.
