Sky News Active problems

    My father is having trouble with his Sky News Active,anytime he hits the red button a few sec later it freezes and the screen is all green.To get it back to normal he has unplug it.

    Its a strange one,have anybody here ever heard of this...?


    ps:its a Sky plus box

    I had a problem similar to this a few weeks ago until I found that the youngfella had stuck the FTV card in the Interactive card slot. When you hit the red button the system must try and read this reader and this caused the problem discribed.


    Don't know if this is the same but worth a look

    that is a soft ware problem-is the reciver old ie 4-5 years.I know a person who had simlar problems and as active was not avaliable at the time of purchse.Sky should provide you with a new box if the above is the same
