Magnificent moments

I think you all have moments when viewing an episode from a series, you can actually predict what is gonna happen before the actual story even kicks in. I like the moments in BSG when you are completely put on the wrong foot.

One of my favourite scenes is when Gaias Baltar stands in the middle of the crowd while Boomer and Helo read the numbers of the lottery. When the old lady gives him the note and asks him what number is on it, because she can't read it, I immediately thought, well ok Baltar is gonna replace her note with his... Well that's what any other series would have done. But then Helo asks...hey aren't you Gaias Baltar... and while you can see trough SUPERB acting that he actually thought for a moment to swap the note, he immediately assesses the threat of him being exposed as a traitor...maybe it's better not be saved and remain on the planet? So in a split second and surprise movement he calls out and says the old lady has the right number...
And still gets picked up while Helo gives up his seat...
    I just LOVE it...

When Adama tells Kara to leave the room while she still can, that wholr triangle between them really does it for me, esapecially when she comes back to Galactica in that stolen Cylon fighter, I just love it !

Eh no. She came back in it and then went away again.

That was a great scene and I also liked the earlier scene in the same ep where Adama was sincerely praising Starbuck for the "superb" way she had helped his son at flight school. You could kind of feel Starbuck wanting to tell the truth but being too afraid. A powerful, realistic and moving scene I felt.

One thing I felt was not so realistic is the way Adama continues to depend on Starbuck despite what happened to his son - an unfortunate touch of the "re-set buttons" perhaps?
