Two wickets off being beat within 2 days?

    Shurely shome mhistake!

Harmison has been a bit of a let down. I'd pick Simon Jones ahead of him....

It will probably take a few more years of regular trashings before they find their feet at this level, I think it took New Zealand nearly thirty years to win a test series when they started out

Was hoping England would bat on longer today and at least give the crowd a full days cricket tomorrow

Not much of a warm up before they face the Aussies

At least its easing Freddie back in.

I heard on TMS, that if its over within 10 overs, the crowd get 100% refund. They'll be cheering them on! :D

Feel a bit sorry for Gareth Batty, tho.

probably not worthy of test status but it will be the only way for them to improve.

I reckon Ireland could hold their own against Bangledesh

Was looking like it would be over in 5 overs this morning, great to see these two putting up a fight

Only another 250 to go :D

You need to give them time to develop. If they were on a tweakers track it might be a different story - probably still an English win but a closer encounter.

They recently beat Zim in Bangladesh so if any team in on the chopping block it might be the Zimbos.

They probably need a 1st & 2nd tier test ranking - more regularised tests between teams in the same tier with occasional cross-overs tests between teams in different tiers to gauge the difference in standard.

I don't think its the fact Bangledesh are crap. It's just England are better.

i think england should have picked a stronger team to play so close to the ashes, there is no competition in this test and they could go into the ashes series in the wrong frame of mind

It's a total miss match alright but England are a very professional focused team these days and will be 100% prepared mentally for the ashes.
