Lack of a Ryan Adams Irish date

Does anybody know why Ryan Adams hasn't announced a tour date for ireland this year? He's playing 4 or 5 shows in the UK, including Glastonbury, and a couple more around Europe, but none in Ireland. Last time he was here it sold out in under an hour, so it can't be lack of demand. I heard rumours that there was an unpleasant incident last time, and that he had an argument with some kind of association of Dublin venues and they won't book him and he won't play. Anybody know anything about this?

    thought I'd dig this up.
So, you may know that Ryan has cancelled his UK tour due to an ear infection.
I'm sure an Irish gig was about to be added, but it all got cut short.

At least we've another new album to look forward to in September after the fantastic Cold Roses.

Hopefully he'll tour in the Winter :)

Yeah, I'm not really sure if he was planning at all to come here to IRL for that June tour as he was scheduled to go to Australia (and did go) fairly soon after,

I myself was really hoping he would announce an Irish show, I ended up getting tickets for one of the UK shows and booking cheap flights but lost out when that UK tour was pulled at the last minute cos of that ear infection (lucky I hadn't gone to UK before finding out it was cancelled)

I did hear he had a pretty crap time here the last time he played but am very doubtful that he is banned or whatever or anything re a Dublin Venues Assoc (?DVA) ban sounds a bit like BS, I mean since when did venues go refusing good money for sell-out shows

have heard the bootleg from one of the 2002 Olympia gis and it sounds fantastic so I'm thinking he shouldn't have something against IRL in general and hopefully he'll come our way if he comes back for a UK tour in autumn or winter

and if he does lets hope it's a good one cos he is very unpredictable live (which I'm not complaining about, would prefer that to a scripted show with same set list every night), I saw him once in New York last year, it was amazing but apparently the previous night gig in the same venue wasn't up to much

anyway *crosses fingers for Irish gig this year*
