hi every one

This time last year i meet this girl on the internet a brilliant girl she helped me get threw a real ruff patches in my life and she didnt even no well i just told her
but .

im affriad she thinks im mad or something now cause well i thanked her , and told her to ya show how much i apreashated her helping me and talkin to me ,
and well i had to cause it felt rite ,

but after i told her she went look i have to go and well went really fast now i feel guilty or i dunno its weird but i had to get it of my cheast and tell her .

can anybody understand that ?

and was it a bad thing ?

you were right, you just might have scared her a little if she sees you as a friend and thats all. also depends how you said it to her aswell.

Use a dictionary your spelling would scare me away......I'd say that she was just embarrassed. Don't worry to much about it.

Seriously - use a spell checker, there can't be any excuses for bad spelling these days.

As for the girl - she might just have been embarrassed about it and then logged off quickly, or else she was uncomfortable with the flattery.

Don't read too much into it. She may have simply had to go, or someone may have walked in, giving her no privacy. I wouldn't make a big issue of it, just message her as usual.

I help people quite abit thay say thanks all the time, it is just polite... she may have had to coz he was going out or sumit just ask her strait out "did i freak you out?" or "why did you freak out?"

His spelling is terrible and my impression is the OP is english and your argument still doesn't stop the OP using spellcheck. If his english is good enough to spell phonetically then he should be able to spot the correct word in spellcheck.

sorry every one i dont actuly have word or the likes on my computer as i dont use it my job doesnt intail the use of such programs ....apolidges for my spelling ...

i didnt say anythig to mad well i hope i didnt i think shel come around in her own time to be honest well i would like to think she will...

but shore i did what thaught the girl diserved .. which was a thank u ...

i just kinda paniced cause she left and she was deffenatly freaked out ..

Canis Lupas , dont really remember to be truthfull , itwas just like something along the lines
of hey listen eh , i just said listen thanks for keeping me sane last summer u were a real friend and im so greatfull , you were a friend while others wernt and well it was so nice of you and il always regard you as a friend etc etc .like i told her that i was going threw a depression , but she didnt know.

Can I give you one piece of friendly advice. Work on your spelling. I'm not trying to insult you but you mentioned above you have a job and regardless of what you do in life it reflects badly on you if you can't spell.

Good luck with the girl also.

Try and talk to her again. Send her an e-mail explaining that you feel you somehow freaked her out and that was not your intention. Maybe she has a low self esteem to and was afraid of getting to close to anyone for fear of rejection. As for the spelling. Don't worry about it. I could make out all the words perfectly. Not everyone is acadenically geared like out education system requires. People have talents such as being good with their hands or being a natural saleperson ect........(i'm off subject,,,, sorrry)

id like to say that im not a ntional english speeker no , but my work has no probelm with it because my jobs all about my ears and timming i work in the audio buisness so i have no need for Attension to spelling ...

but shore look at jackie stewert , richard branson none of them can spell (well its called dislexia )
yet they earn millions so if you people wanna be so sad about spelling ,
but i couldnt care regardles because i no my name carries me, nothing else so

Those who ask for advice on an internet forum where the written word is the only form of communication cannot expect good advice when no one can understand what the ***k you are on about.

Canis is not being the stereotypical forum Grammer Nazi that most forum users despise. Those are the people who will slag a poster for missing the odd comma or typing they're instead of their. This is 'Nit-picking'

Your posts are on an entirely different level. No punctuation, nearly every word spelt wrong, sentence structure all over the place...so much so that it is almost impossible to discern the meaning of the post.

The way I'm reading it (after 6 or 7 times) is that you chatted to this girl online. You were depressed or had certain things going on in your life at the time. You didn't tell her about these things in your online conversations but recently when these issues had resolved themselves, you realised that even though she wasn't aware of them, some of the things she said online helped you to resolve these issues in some way. You decided to thank her, along the lines of, "Hey 'Kate', I never told you I was depressed a few months ago, but even so you said certain things that hepled me through it. So thanks"

If the above synopsis is correct, then my advice or take on the subject is that....

A. She didn't freak out and really did just have something urgent that needed attention and thus had to cut that particuler online chat short.

or

B. She didn't know about your issues at the time and really was freaked out when all of a sudden, you're thanking her for helping you through your depression last month/year or whenever it was. She's thinking, "Damn he seemed so normal in all our earlier conversations and now it seems he has/had some issues with depression...God I don't want to be dealing with that"

I'm not slagging you mate, but you have to understand that we are not nit-picking. Like I said previously, in an intenet forum where the only form of communication is the written word, we have to be able to understand the post to be able to give good advice to you. You may not need to be able to use the written word perfectly in your chosen field of work but a decent grasp of grammer and spelling is usefull elsewhere.

There is no need to be embarressed about it, but you shouldn't get defensive either and refuse to improve your grammer and spelling just because you don't need it in your particular 'creative' field. The fact that you deny being a native speaker despite phonetically spelling Irish accented slang type words which is a giveaway indicates that you are embarressed, when you shouldn't be. You had other priorities as a kid, like having fun rather than learning how to spell correctly. you didn't pay quite as much attention in school as you should. Thats fine, but don't go through the rest of your life, barely able to put a coherant sentence to 'Paper'. You're a mature adult now. You catch up on the writting skills you missed out on in school while you were having fun and I'll catch up on the fun I missed out on in school (I'm still a big kid ) while learning to write. Its a silly little analogy but I think you get my point.

While i was in school in this country well lets just say this , my relgion was mocked ,
bye teachers, i was called the village idiot bye techers and genrally never had any fun
because of teachers and the way they treated me and spoke to me , they thaught i
was thick and stupid , but in a matter of fact it was there own teaching skills that were the cause of the problem not me .

I despise the techers that taught me because they thaught me one thing HATE .Which sadly is my bigest weekness.

My why of life is very different the things that are important to me are honesty , loyalty , my family,friends, and the word help , which is somthing that you all have done .Sadly it doesnt exist any were else to this day unless something can be gained from it well thats not intirely true but im shore you can understand me .
