join rathgar tennis club, its behind the aib there. check out rathgartennis.com, there is an opening evening Thurs June 2nd, 7.0 -9.0pm

I live right beside that club, but 430 is too much to pay for me.

Wouldn't mind a game or two in bushy park though. I've only played a few times for fun this spring and last summer, so if you're at all good you'll want to find someone nearer your own standard.
What age are you? (getting hammered by a 16 year-old would be bad for my self-image :) )
    I'm 25.

if your on the terenure side of bushy you could play on the courts in terenure college either.

really? Are they free to use? I've been playing quite a bit of tennis recently...they're removing all but 4 of the ones in Bushy Park to make way for skatpark and carpark :(

I'd like to play a bit. I havent played in a while but was fairly good when I played. I used to be a member of templeogue tennis club but didnt really know anybody there so just left. 20yrs old btw

(and yes, Terenure college is free. Some days they do charge in the summer when it gets busy tho. There is also tennis lessons run during the summer between 11-3/4 I think so ya cant use em then)

I used to play when I was younger, been out myself for a couple of years but still well able to give a decent enough game, serve wouldnt be great though!

Wouldnt be able to play every week but if you're looking for maybe once a week Id love to give you a game.

I am free for a game, the best location for me is Herbert Park though, or somewhere near the city center. Weekends are perfect! Longing for a tennis partner of medium high level.

Is there anybody available for tennis in North Wicklow area or South Dublin?
Someone not too young and not too brilliant would suit me fine. I think I know all the free courts within a 5 mile radius.
Just getting back into it after break of a few years, so a bit rusty at the mo.

Thanks for the offer kjt. I didn't know about Marley. Think I'll go check it out and see how long it takes to get there. They keep changin' all the roads down our way so it might be quicker now if.... I don't get lost.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,057 ✭✭✭kjt

I drive down to redcross every few weekend and it takes about 40mins since the new road opened up. If you can think of any other place I can try meet you there.

Maybe the next time I'd down in redcross we could play a game there.

Always on for a game, anyone around either NE Dublin or UCD during term fancy it PM

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 794 ✭✭✭jackal

Hi, I started playing again about a month ago with a mate but he doesent have any free time. Would love 2-3 games a week. I live beside UCD, have a motorbike, so can travel to free courts (cisco - if you are still looking give a shout 0868106324). Im 26, beer belly (reason why I started again:p) and can't serve, but I did have lessons and play seriously-ish when I was much younger, so I can probably give a decent game to a fellow born-again-er! Really enjoy playing at the mo, its a great game.
