X-box games come on a cd,.... so do gamecube games,...... right.
pc's have cd drives,.....so.....with the right kind of emulator/software it should be possible to play these games on your home computer, saving the cost of buying the machine, right?? burlap.

    Wrong.

They come on a DVD and no there isn't an emulator for the Xbox that runs on the pc. You can buy a second hand Xbox for about €50 these days.

what if your pc has a dvd drive, then. what about gamecube, ps, ps2 are there any emulators for these that would allow they're dvd's be played from the drive?

Firstly, xbox dvds and gamecube mini-discs (or whatever they are called) cannot be read in a normal DVD-drive as the data is stored differently to a normal DVD/CD. I'm not sure about ps2. You generally need to hook the console up to a PC to transfer the game to the PC.

Secondly, the hardware for handling the graphics, sound etc is different to a PC, especially the gamecube and PS2 so running these games on a PC would be very difficult but I'm sure that in a few years there will be emulators that will do this very well (but you'll still have problems transferring the games from the discs).
Xbox hardware is basically the same as a PC so emualting that is relatively easy compared to PS2 and Gamecube but it hasnt been done very well yet.

So it is possible and there are emualtors available already for each console but they havent been refined yet. You would be much better off buying the console for now. You can have a look at the emulators here:

its got a lot to do with the internal bios of these machines also. Plus bare in mind these machines have dedicated gaming processors... unlike your pc 1 which runs alot of unnessary and sometimes nessary bull****
