Ok I think that's what they are called. They are the little suckers for babies.

Well anyway there I was yesterday workin away in an amusement arcade/bowling alley and in comes this group of about 20 Dublin teenagers, between about 13 and 16 I'd say. Several(maybe 7 or 8) of them were sucking away on those dodo's.

Is this a new trend in Dublin?
If so, all I can say is...Muppets.

These girls are old enough to know that they are above the age of sucking dodo's, but no, they'd rather make total eejits of themselves...

    Has anyone else seen this?
    Does it happen elsewhere?

No I'm pretty sure they weren't the sweets.
Apart from them not even looking like sweets, I noticed one girl had the same one for about 3 hours.

    It's a slow news day...
I would have thought they were sweets but given trends I wouldn't be surprised. People were wearing bandaids on their faces when Nelly started doing it

Hm, I remember that trend from a year or 2 ago. Was mainly a disco kind of thing I believe.

I heard a rumour it originated in raves to stop people from biting their tongues while dancing, but a rumour is a rumour and not to be trusted.

    Looks stupid anyways.

kinda true its for when on E and your jaws feel the need to chatter either causing toothloss or gum bites, chewing gum tbh but some prefer soothers.

Well these girls were young.. don't think they were on anything(but you never know).
Must be a new fashion thing. Or obviously they thought they were cool.
Also acted like they owned the place.

    typical imo.

Its for preventing of the grinding of teeth when you are off your nut on yokes.

Why they were doing this in public is another question.

    Heh heh heh. Dodo.

Started with pill heads, then it just bacome some pop culture thing practiced by people who wouldn't know xtc if it came up and started dancing in their faces.

That's how trends start I guess.

It's pretty dumb, but then, so are most fashionable things.

Dunno if it was a rapper, but one of the characters in the film Boyz in Tha Hood used to suck on a pacifier in the film. Although, I doubt these kids would be mimicing him.

Probably the same muppets that walk the streets in their pyjamas
