True, and this laptop has taken a battery BEATING since I got it...

But I hate recalls. Reason I won't by Trium or Dell anymore...

Lads, it's only a handful that have to go back linky.

Also, they send you a new one first and then you can *forget* to send the old one back...

I can't see any reason to complain. Apple have a very efficient customer service/recall scheme and chances are that your battery was beginning to lose charge capacity. Plus your laptop now doesn't explode. Win/Win situation

    New one came today

Return instructions are in Spanish. I ordered off the .ie site, and its definately my box (right airway ticket inside). So where along the line did they get the idea that I spoke Spanish...

Have to say, good, quick service. Ordered it up on Monday, arrived Thursday (of course the courier dropped it off two doors up, cos I wasnt in, and it took another two days for him to stop by). Got my instructions in English. If you want return details, let me know

Well, I handed the old battery back to a UPS guy about 1PM today, after having found out from AppleCare on Friday what the hell the sheet said. Thanks anyway.
