Totally! When I'm at home I do but it's kind of hard when you're living with housemates, they think it's sad....

    I don't care God damnit!!!

*sigh* those were the days sneaking downstairs at 7:00am and watching all the classics like Sharkie And George, The Racoons and the other one with the three nephew ducks to 'Uncle Scrooge' what was it called?

It's been a long time since I did that. Saturday mornings are now a time for a lie-in and then up and have a bath, and eventually get down for breakfast, by which time it is Saturday afternoon! :)

There aren't decent cartoons on saturday mornings anymore.

When I was a kid I had Inhuminoids, Robotech, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. Transformers would be on later in the afternoon.. after that horrible Pat Sharpe programme on the Sky Channel.

Sky Channel and Super Channel used to be great back then.

Of course now I have channels like Cartoon Network and Toonami... and they show cartoons all day long, so no need to get out of bed on saturday morning.

I wish there was a station that showed all those eighties cartoons like jayce, mask and transformers.

Saturday mornings aren't as good now as they used be.

Although I do enjoy the Star Trek repeats on sky.

Rté in the morning is just abismal.

Actually I take that back, they're still showing the Six Million Dollar Man so I'll give them credit for that...

ya saturday mornings just arent the same as they use to be, like the cartoons. The old cartoons were the best- the smurfs, care bears, garfield, snoopy, superted.. I pity the poor chaps these days- pokemon, and digi something. Some loada crap..

I was a big sharky and george man myself, and Transformers as well, but by god Spongebob Squarepants is the best cartoon I've ever seen, it never fails to make me smile or laugh, and I never get bored of him and his spongey antics.

I even bought loads of it on DVD :o

OMG Sharky and George was such a class cartoon, used to love it. And that Uncle Scrooge, one, wasn't the intro where he dived into a warehouse full of gold coins. Ah! the memories!

Ah uncle scrooge that was legendary! the three little chipmunks, no sorry wrong there, they were ducks...i think. Speaking of chipmunks they were good too and the gummie bears (loved the sweets too).

That would be Fox Kids. They show Jayce and MASK anyway.

Don't know anywhere that does Transfomers though.... I don't like these new transformer cartoons at all. One of the Beast Wars CGI series was pretty good though. It was set on Cybertron and it was ruled by Megatron, it had some really great running storylines in it.

i havent had a saturday morning off in 12 months would love to do it again though :) do they still show the turtles?

Oh no, it's well and truly Saturday afternoon by the time I emerge from my pit! I don't even think of putting the television on till after 5pm even then.

It's been years since I got up early on a Saturday morning, unless I've something specific to do. Even if I haven't been out the night before, I'll still sleep past 12pm. A decent lie in once a week is essential I think.

My childhood Saturday morning shows were (amongst others) -

    Why Don't You?
    Pole Position
    Ulyssees
Muppet Babies (more my sister's choice, but twas a larf)
    Battle of the Planets

    Kev.

 remember the fun house with that guy with the mullet? I always wanted to go through the course that they had, it looked like so much fun. And Art Attack! The end part when he did a mcGyver with manure or smth to make a big face on the ground. the chuckle brothers used to annoy me.

What is Sharky and George, and How have I heard of it? Strangly my friend mentioned it yesterday, and it's been bugging me since then. It sounds familiar.

Going Live on BBC1 was my fix..... Sarah Greene, Philip Scofield and Gordon the Gopher.
Brilliant. Remember what that nutter rang in when 5 Star were being interviewed??
    Such memories.....
I still get up and watch MOM occasionally (while hungover... the sight of Holly sure helps!)
I've also just started to watch Spongebob! That cartoon is brilliant! I'm gonna have great chats with my godchild next time I see him :)

(I'm in my mid 20s btw)
