I just got a call from a recruitment agency in Brussell's asking me would I be interested in a 4 month (maybe more) contract in Belgium. I jumped at the chance as the money they quoted is twice what I'm getting paid.

Does anyone know anything about tax etc in Belgium ?? and how easy is it to get accomidation ?

You'll be able to rent 1 room bedsit type accomodation on Rue de la Constitution- inclusive of water/electricity/heating and broadband internet access for about Euro 275 per month (plus 30 for services) along with a 500 Euro deposit.

Have a hunt on the web- you'll find loads of stuff. Admittedly most of the accomodation in Brussels is hotel type accomodation (given the institutions there). Student accomodation may be your best bet- given that its only for an initial 4 months....

Sorry can't tell you about the position, but I'll be working close to the Airport and yes I can come home at weekends.

no problem, i understand completely. was just wondering what sort of work it was exactly. had an offer of soemthing similar in germany a few years back but was committed to something else by the time they got round to getting it off the ground.

    sounds good tho, good luck!
