It's well known in the area.
It does a huge selection of stuff, hardware, toys, brik a brak. Very cheap compares to others (a friend who has a shop nearby buys from that shop, and sells it in her own, recons it's cheaper than her wholesaler!!)

i'm in there at least twice a week and i have to say i find them to be very nice. they know my name which is a nice touch! dont often get that nowadays.

the food is all packet stuff like biscuits and cakes. anything i have bought has been brand names like cadburys etc. hardly below standard? we need more shops like this around the place. i'm sure they make money (cos that's why they are there after all) but at the same time they aren't ripping off the public. i brought a particular bronzer in there during the week for €3 which was €5.95 in Marks and Spencers!! How crazy is that? I don't want to seem like a walking advertisement for this particular shop but if there were more of these type out there then we really would have less to complain about

For even cheaper grub try 'The Bounty Stores' further up the road on the right heading towards town. He sells a lot of out of date cakes and pastries which seem to be very popular with the oldies. Personally I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole! However he also sells stuff that has a short shelf life i.e. 1 or 2 months left to go on them. Got some 'Old El Paso Spicy Fajita Wraps' recently for 1.50 a pack and they had about another 6 weeks left of shelf life. Also got some paper tablecloths, 20 in a pack for 2.99. He has different stuff every week and often has catering tins of tomatoes, peppers etc that are well in date. Worth checking out.

Camden Street has to be the best street for bargins in dublin
I lived beside here for five years till recently
there is a shop across the road from the camden casket. there is no name on it it has shutters painted black and opens on thursdays, Fridays and Saturaday
this shop has some unbelieveable bargins from week to week. I suppose it depends on what auctions they were at.
Also gavins electrical is the wholesale dealer for philips. Often ex. display models for 1/2 price. not 1 or 2 items a whole wall.
What about Go-West (beside Flannerys)some savage value on shirts and top quality

    Dec

    PS I miss Camden Street

It is indeed a great shop. The shop is called 'The Liquadation Shop' I think but is more commonly known as the 'In and Out Shop' presumably because they get stock in one week and the next week they have a different range! At the moment they are selling Georgio Armani perfume for 15 euro and Men's Burberry for 15 euro. Great bargain. He usually sells them for 20 yo yos but the sale is on! Buy now for Christmas! He has them at the till.

My mother and I go to Camden St every Saturday for the bargains. Much better than crappy Meath St. Also has 5 charity shops which can yield good treasures and West Coast Coffee for a much needed sit down!

Also if you're into olives and the like try 'Camden Halal' which sells large tins of olives for 1.95 and large tins of chick peas (for making your own hummus) for 1.05. Very reasonable prices.

A few doors up beside West Coast Coffee is the last of the old Dublin butchers. Sawdust on the floor and a woman in a booth at the back who takes the money! Ah, nostalgia!

If you drive into Camden St. be careful where you park. It's a gold mine for the clampers. Best parking is around the side of the Simon charity shop. Put plenty in the meter, they're always ready to pounce!

No returns, no badges on staff, loud radio with ads all the time.

The worst shop I've ever visited.
