    i'm creating a nav bar for a website can anyone give me an example of one???
    i'm putting the buttons along the left side of the page....

    The Navbar is set up at the start of the html, it shows you how they did it.

    i cant change the names of the buttons would i have to create new buttons

    Yes! Use photoshop or fireworks to create you own.
    Edit: If you use fireworks you can use it to build your nav bar. It will insert necessary javascript and everything.

    They're using images as buttons, and swapping it for a shaded version when the mouse goes over it. Make new button images, and replace the ones on the site.

    And if you jsut steal the nav bar then they may be pissed with you :)
