What's the deal with Indian Smoke?

I was in an Indian shop there on South Circular Road and while at the cash register I spotted a few blocks of the fragrant Indian smoke. Yer man behind the counter started to freak out when I asked him if I could purchase some. Is it because I am female or someit? It's not as if the stuff is illegal or anything.

Talking to a couple of my Indian mates and they say that it is just normal tobacco, a gold flake tobacco. Nothing too strange.

I don't fink it's hash, but still in all I would of liked to purchase some to be sure to be sure, begorrah.

I fink I'll get one of my dodgy male friends to go into the shop, this would work cos a) he's a bloke and would be sold the item in question and b) if he did look really sketchy then the fine gentleman behind the counter would give him what he (me) is REALLY looking for (not on the shelves).

Also aside from the smoke, the product pricing in the shop is really biazarre, some things are really cheap and some are really expensive, but the cheap stuff you'd expect to be dear and vice-versa.

Going to the shops these days, it's like the bleedin Krypton Factor.

My Indian colleagues have already established that it is tobacco.... Didn't you read the previous posts? The shop owner is probably getting wary because he's importing tobacco without paying Irish tax on it, that's all.
